Dr. Zaur Gasimov
Dr. Zaur Gasimov Bakü, Berlin ve Eichstätt’te uluslararası ilişkiler, uluslararası hukuk ve tarih eğitimi aldı. 2002-2003 arasında Bakü’deki Alman Büyükelçiliği’nde basın ve halkla ilişkiler alanında çalıştı. 2009 yılında DAAD ve Açık Toplum Enstitüsü bursuyla Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt’ta tarih dalında doktorasını tamamladı. Polonya ve SSCB’de tarihin askerler tarafından araçsallaştırılması konusundaki doktora tezi ile Polonya Dışişleri Bakanlığı’nın özel ödülünü aldı.
2009-2013 yılları arasında Mainz’daki Leibniz-Institut für Europäische Geschichte’de (IEG – Avrupa Tarihi Enstitütüsü) Dünya Tarihi Bölümü’nde araştırma görevlisi olarak çalıştı. 2013 Eylülünden 2019 Ağustosa kadar Orient-Institut Istanbul’da araştırmacı olarak çalıştı ve 20. yüzyılda Rusya, Avrupa ve Türkiye arasında fikirlerin dolaşımı konusunda araştırmalar yaptı.
